Cyber Bullying

I know bullying has been around for a very long time, but I had no idea that cyber bullying is getting as bad as the non-cyber type. At least one in three teenagers is the victim of cyber-bullying. After thinking about it, I think people feel less accountable. They are at home doing this nonsense, and remain anonymous. With all the social networks that are out there, you can really embarrass somebody and destroy their life. The part that drives me crazy is knowing that when something is said online, pretty much it is there forever. The way I feel the people that cyber bully should face some consequences, and if they are kids they deserve serious punishment so they won’t think of doing this horrific act again.

  1. I completely agree with you on the punishment. My wife and I were watching Dr. Phil one day, and it was about cyberbullying, and I was blown away by some of the things that where said online about these kids. Sadly kids in middle school and highschool are still very immature, and do not think twice about cyberbullying. They dont realize the emotional damage and humiliation they are causing to these victims. I wish there was a way to control this, but unfortunatley I dont think we can stop it all together.
