Copyrights

After reading about it now I realize that this copyright stuff is serious. I thought it was only about money, but it is basically about control. The laws of United States protect you, and your copyrighted material. Whether its music, movies, painting, software, etc if you own the copyright you can decide how it is used. The main thing I learned about the Copyright Act is that it gives the owner the right to reproduce work, distribute copies, lease, or transfer the ownership. One important final fact to note is that copyright does not protect ideas, only their expression.

  1. I agree with you 100%. I never took copyright serious but now that I know more about it I will make sure not to use someone else materials. I always thought of copyright as a part of plagiarism but it is someone's work who took the time to research what they needed. I like how you stated that copyright can also be music, movies, painting, software, etc and not just a piece of work like an advertisement.
    GREAT JOB!!!
